Dr Disrespect SUING Twitch, Daequan Hamlinz RETURN, OpTic MERGER | Esports Rewind #117

This week on the Rewind, Daequan and Hamlinz return with NRG, Hecz merging OpTic with ENVY, and Dr Disrespect is suing Twitch over his permanent ban.

Daequan and Hamlinz broke Twitter with their return and the creation of their NRG THOOM House. NRG signed the two huge Twitch stars away from TSM, where they were known for their trio with Myth, and made huge waves when they announced their campaign with posters, billboards, and a stream that ended with them smashing a car window and announcing their new org, NRG.

OpTic may be sold for the 4th time in as many years, as reports surfaced that Hecz is splitting away from NRG to merge the OpTic brand with ENVY and the Dallas Empire. It would be the 3rd time that OpTic has had to change it’s name and location since the CDL started, and with a potential roster of Scump, Dashy, Illey, and Shotzzy, could be the best team they have fielded in the new Call of Duty league.

And Dr Disrespect says that he now knows why he was permanently banned on Twitch, and he is suing the streaming platform into the ground over it. Admitting that he had known for several months now, Dr Disrespect revealed that his earnings had dropped by 75% since having to move to YouTube after the Twitch ban, which is why the doc is taking Twitch to court.
